Analyst Jon Prosser said that Apple has resumed work on the AirPower charging station and has already begun to release the first prototypes.
An insider said Apple engineers are redesigning the charging coil and changing the original AirPower external silicone material to white skin to solve the problem of heat dissipation.
Jon Prosser also explained why the company initially abandoned the production of charging. According to the analyst, the original AirPower prototypes could not correctly charge the Apple Watch.
Apple first announced the AirPower charging station back in 2017, and the release was due to take place in 2018. However, in March 2019, the company canceled this project.
